Because every crafter needs her own pair of giant scissors …
…welcome to the latest addition to my craft room! All for the low price of $4 at Hobby Lobby.
If you are on the hunt for inexpensive wall decor, do not miss the wood crafts and paper mache aisles of your local craft store. You will likely be amazed at all the cool stuff there for just a couple dollars a piece. I frequent the two aisles on a regular basis…often for paper mache letters, one of my favorite cheap decorating solutions for parties and kids' rooms. When I saw these giant wooden scissors I just couldn't resist!
How to Make Gold Scissors
2. Grab your favorite gold acrylic craft paint (or really whatever color you prefer!) and a foam brush
3. Cover the scissors (I just painted the front side) in 3 coats of paint, letting them dry between coats
4. Hang on the wall with a small nail or 3M Command Hooks!
I plan to pull them out when I have a particular hefty DIY to tackle! Ha ha..
Now for some exciting news... this little pink craft room / office of mine is going to being photographed for a magazine this week!! It will be featured in Creative Spaces Magazine (a special publication of Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Magazine) and will be hitting the newsstands in June! Talk about a dream come true! I will be sharing more details as the date gets closer!
And if that isn't enough excitement… I have more exciting news coming tomorrow, so stay tuned!
