Alt Summit NYC last Thursday was incredible. I may even venture to say it ranks up there with one of the best experiences of my life (apart from the whole wedding day and giving birth to my daughters, of course). It was at the Martha Stewart Omnimedia headquarters after all. Here are some scenes from the day.
What better way to start the day than with some coffee and crafting?
I sported this fun neon and natural bead necklace on the plane ride home.
I've made a lot of paper medallions in the last month, but they are twice as fun when you make them with Martha's craft team.
The backdrop to the conference was this bright alt logo, some colorful window panes and a great view of the city.
I spent the day scribbling down notes in my Moleskine notebook with a little Design Improvised flair.
Got a kick out of these (quite stringent) rules in the bathroom stalls. Do you think Martha wrote these herself?
I loved getting to roam the halls and wonder what it must be like to be surrounded by beautiful inspiration like this every day:
The prop room. I could've spent hours looking around here.
The offices have a great view of the Empire State building.
I couldn't resist a photo op to capture my excitement that day ;)
A hush came over the room when this woman made a surprise appearance during a panel. Unfortunately it was the one session where I decided to sit towards the back of the room. Sorry for the grainy photo Martha, you're looking fabulous!
The day ended with a rooftop party overlooking the river and Chelsea Piers.
The best part of the day? Meeting these amazing bloggers, creative business owners, and sponsors.
