We are taking a week off, packing up our car (to the brim!), and heading 230 miles north to Door County, Wisconsin for a little family vacation. I hope it will be a week full of sunshine, beach time, ice cream and lots of great memories with the girls. For now, I just hope we make it through the 6 hour car trip alive! It is the first time we are attempting a road trip like this as a family of four.
There isn't any internet access in the cottage we're renting in the woods, so I'm trying to be organized by pre-scheduling a couple blog posts in advance. Ross and I were going to try to go without TV for a week until we realized the Olympics would be on, so those plans were quickly shot. I do hope to still get in a few games of Scrabble at night though. ;)
Here's a view of Door County from the air, surrounded by Lake Michigan :
We've never been to Door County, but it is supposed to be beautiful and often referred to as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest". I'm looking forward to seeing views like these!
