I went up to the roof the other day, and what do you know - there are several tulips beginning to peak out of the soil in one of my pots. So as I suggested in one of my last posts, go out and buy some flowering bulbs to enjoy inside now and once the blooms and leaves are spent you can repot the bulbs outdoors to enjoy again next spring!
Just cut the withered leaves down to the soil line, carefully dig out the bulb, and replant the bulb in a container or in the ground, making a hole about 2-3 times deeper than the bulb. Once they're planted, no need for any extra care. You can plant annuals around them for the summer.
